St. Augustine Engagement | Brittany & Clark

Engagement sessions and golden hour are two of my favorite things! Clark, Brittany and I met in St. Augustine recently to document this special time in their life through an engagement shoot. We have a similar circle of friends and we quickly learned that we had even more connections than we realized! I love those small world moments. These two are so sweet together and I love getting to translate their love through photographs. I know that they have some amazing things planned for their wedding in a few months and I can't wait to be a part!

Highlands, North Carolina Engagement | Chris & Jodi

What beats an engagement shoot in the mountains? Add in some dreamy fog and you’ve got yourself a pretty magical day.

I had the privilege of doing Chris and Jodi’s engagement session in Highlands, North Carolina this fall! Chris is Marco’s brother, making him my brother-in-law and his fiancé, Jodi, my future sister-in-law. I love them both so much and we all fit together so well as family. Since Chris and Jodi have moved to Atlanta, we don’t get to see them as often as we’d like. Because of that, we put a weekend getaway on the calendar months in advance! Our plans included a visit to stay with Jodi’s grandparents in Highlands, North Carolina and doing a fall engagement shoot near the mountains.

As you can see from the images, Chris and Jodi adore each other. They make a very strong team and I know there are wonderful things ahead for them as a couple. Marco and I are so excited to be a part of their wedding on January 1, 2016 in a different role than usual — members of the bridal party!

St. Augustine Wedding | Alli & Derek

This summer was full of so many fun and beautiful weddings! I was able to top off the season with Alli and Derek’s wedding on Labor Day weekend in St. Augustine, Florida.

Alli and Derek worked hard to plan a beautiful weekend for their family and friends and it sure paid off! Their guests traveled from all over the country to celebrate their wedding day. Many of the guests spent the morning at the beach before getting ready for the wedding — so fun and unique. Alli, Derek, and their families are so welcoming and make everyone feel loved and included.

Alli was absolutely stunning in a dress that looked like it was made just for her. She spent the morning with her bridesmaids in a gorgeous beach house located next door… to a castle! I always feel so honored to get to be right in the action while the bride is preparing for one of the most special days of her life.

Derek and Alli did a First Look on the rooftop overlooking the woods and castle. Talk about gorgeous! The sun behaved wonderfully, giving us perfect lighting for gorgeous photos.

Alli and Derek, thank you so much for inviting me to be part of your big day! I loved getting to know you both over the last few months. I’m so excited for you as you begin life as husband and wife. Congratulations!

Winston-Salem, North Carolina Wedding | Chris & Mel

I’m so excited to share another destination wedding with you! I first became friends with Chris and Mel through Chris’ older sister, Laura. We hit it off during the next few months as they told me about their wedding plans via Facetime calls. It’s so evident that Chris absolutely adores Mel. She is hilarious and has a personality that lights up a room. They are such a great match!

Chris & Mel had picture-perfect weather for their big day! This was my first time in Winston-Salem and I loved it. Besides the ideal temperatures, beautiful scenery met me around every turn. One of the sweetest parts of the day happened right before the ceremony — Chris & Mel’s first touch. They wanted a special way to have a moment together while still remaining hidden. After the ceremony, we all headed over to the gorgeous Bermuda Run Country Club where the bride and groom and their guests danced late into the night!

Chris and Mel, thank you so much for inviting me to be part of your big day. I loved working with you both and getting to know your families better. I’m so excited for you two to walk through life together as husband and wife!

Orlando Engagement | Lauren & Kevin

What's more fun than an afternoon spent adventuring with new friends? This time, that adventure involved dodging some serious storm clouds. Lauren and Kevin are pretty much down for anything! Engagement shoots are so much fun because it gives the couple and I a chance to work together before the wedding day. During our shoot, I loved how much they made each other laugh... and even made ME lose it a few times. This cute couple just moved to Orlando and are working with a campus ministry at University of Central Florida. I had such a fun day getting to know Lauren and Kevin and I can't wait to shoot their wedding in November!
