When Marco and I first met Alyssa and Jimmy, we knew we loved them! Alyssa and Jimmy are both incredibly sweet, very easy-going, and down for anything. They even followed us up a mountain in the snow for their engagement session!
Before we met with them on their big day, we did some extra scouting at their venue, The Historic Pinecrest, planning some portrait locations. One of the best things about our job is getting to explore new areas. We turned down nearby roads and magically ended up at a huge open area, right at the base of a mountain! We chatted with the owner of the house, and he happily agreed to let us bring the bride and groom for their portraits. Fast forward to portrait time following the ceremony — the owner of the house LOVED that we were there and was even snapping some phone pics of his own from inside the house. So sweet! I love watching people celebrate with our couples and help make their wedding days awesome.
One of my other favorite parts of the day was before the ceremony, when Alyssa and Jimmy did a First Touch. While we had mostly clear weather all day, rain began to fall just as Alyssa and Jimmy were praying together before their ceremony. They were both covered by the roof, so it created this beautiful, intimate moment with soft rain falling. It was definitely a powerful moment!
Alyssa and Jimmy, Marco and I wish you guys SO much happiness and many blessings. We’ve had a blast getting to know you both and are so excited for you. Congratulations!
